Pensieri Semplici 2009/02 "Michael Jackson - Gone Too Soon"

I cannot still believe my ears when I heard that the King of Pop Michael Jackson had passed on. I've not been a fan but I have heard his songs here and there. Three of my favorites being "Black or White", and "Gone Too Soon"... "Heal the World".. I started to download his songs to listen to them more closely. And I do miss him. Seeing all the hoo HAhss on the TV, news and media, the amount of coverage and exposure of this event, which really marks the end of a musical era. I feel a bit lost as though, strange to say that a small part, but important part of me have been taken away. He's like a part of my era, my generation, a period where I grew up listening to his songs, dancing to it, playing it in the band etc.. Unknowingly over time, his presence in music had stuck itself to me.

Perhaps now, without having to grapple with all the legal issue, the stressful comeback concert, this music prodigy and singing sensation, can finally lay his steps to rest. I hope he was a believer, and when I do see him in heaven next time, I would want to sing with him.

Hi Dancer.. Thanks for always being such a good reader of my blog. I really really enjoy doing this blog and posting my thoughts.. I hope to do it regularly. But yes.. it takes the death of the King of Pop for me to come back. I hope it will take lesser of this in the future. :)

Putting aside the unpleasantries.... I think he has lived a very enriching life.. and a lot of people would agree and show their respect accordingly.. There are those who will always be wanting to bite a bit more off that chunk of meat.. Having his music is not enough, tearing him apart to see what ticks... gives them satisfaction..
